Start planning now – the Stroll is just around the corner! Invite your friends and family and make it an artfully fun and inspiring weekend meeting artists and experiencing the work they create. You’ll discover an abundance of unique, artworks created locally by the South Of the Navy Yard Artists.
The Stroll is a self-guided tour of SONYArtist members’ studios and galleries within our community including Ft. Greene, Clinton Hill, Wallabout and the western edge of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. It attracts thousands of visitors from the NYC metro area.

Get a sneak peak of the Stroll while shopping on Myrtle Avenue. SONYA has partnered with MARP (Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership) and Tamboril Restaurant to host the SONYA Prelude Exhibition, April 29 through May 18, showcasing artwork by SONYA artists in various Myrtle Avenue business storefronts that are part of the Myrtle Windows Gallery (MARP Public Art Program). The exhibition continues within Tamboril Restaurant who also hosted the Prelude’s opening reception on April 29th.
Myrtle Windows Gallery includes 12 businesses with Brooklyn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, 412 Myrtle Ave on the western end and Optimum Care, 474 Myrtle Ave. capping the collection on the eastern end. Each gallery storefront offers free gallery guides which include a gallery map, information about each artwork, and even coupons for shopping, dining and service discounts on Myrtle Ave.
