SONYA Member Info
Joining SONYA
The SONYA community includes Brooklyn, NY visual artists whose homes, studios or galleries are located within the boundaries of Flatbush Ave., Atlantic Ave., Bedford Ave., and Flushing Ave (Including the Brooklyn Navy Yard.) These boundaries essentially cover the areas of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and the western edge of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
SONYA invites dynamic visual artists, who are committed to a professional career in the arts, to join our network. All artist members must be at least 21 years old and be interested in exhibiting their own original, fine art at SONYA sponsored events. We offer five groups of artist membership and corresponding benefits:

• Active Artist Membership for individual artist

-- $45/annual from Jan to Dec, plus 6 hours of volunteer work
OR $100/annual with no volunteer hours. |
• Dual Membership for households with 2 artists.

-- $70/annual from Jan to Dec, plus 6 hours each of volunteer work OR $180/annual with no volunteer hours. |
• Organization Membership for galleries or community
organizations who are supportive of SONYA’s mission.

• Alumni Membership for individual artists who have participated as a registered artist in at least one SONYA sponsored event, and who do not wish to exhibit in the current calendar year.

Joining Friends of SONYA
Details on joining the Friends of SONYA will be updated this summer. Donations of any amount are much appreciated and will be used to further our mission of recognizing, supporting, and celebrating community through our visual arts and artists.
