In developing multiple collections of work, each with its own underlying theme, I'm finding an overlap, a form of conversation. There are the structures, which come from my constant love of architecture, and the abstracts, where I try to express collective and personal stresses: political, sexual, whatever is pushing around inside. This led to the start of a new series melding structures and abstracts, the tension of light and shape evoking place. A recent smaller body of work explores the frailty of nature, starting with some abstract charred florals. Viewing and creating art is an ongoing discovery.
