The Light 2011

Inspired by light on the human form and a feeling for the people I paint, these recent portraits are done with a minimum amount of brush strokes and washes on the surface to capture the form. I want to create a fresh and spontaneous look. I have done many works of people on the subway, on the street and in museums, but these works are more intimate.

I have shown at the Berkeley College and the Hudson Opera House and various group exhibits with an urban environment theme. My work is in various private collections, including the University of Maryland School of Social Work and CB Richard Ellis.
